the idea of digital pets was an obsession for lil' me, but i never ended up owning any of my own. this mostly manifested in my animal crossing obsession, but it never scratched the itch of a digital pet like a tama. in my junior year of college my friend ended up showing me that these weren't a relic of the past- hell i could get them at any local store! so i did, and now i've got a handful of my own! below is a fun video by planet clue all about the history of tamas.
they're not hard to manage, although my angel tamagotchi spooked me the first time it went on a walk (and thank god for the internet). the battery replacement is the only "hands on" aspect, unless you're looking to replace shells or trade them- something i've not explored myself
